History and Winemaking
Georges Vesselle’s vineyard is based in the lovely village of Bouzy, right in the heart of the Champagne region, between Reims and Epernay. The 17-hectare vineyard sits on the sunny slopes of the Montagne de Reims, which helps the grapes grow perfectly. The vineyard has the Grand Cru title, one of the highest honours in Champagne, showing just how special their wines are.
Georges Vesselle’s story is one of two great passions: his love for Bouzy and his skill in making top-quality Champagne. He was also the Mayor of Bouzy for 25 years and helped bring new ideas to grape growing. In the 1980s, he even played a big role in starting vineyards in India.
