Description
Fruity and dynamic, Felicie de Biac is a prime example of a French Sauvignon Blanc blend. Grown and aged in a vineyard steeped in winemaking tradition, this wine will make for a fantastic gift for any fans of a French white.
History and Winemaking
Château Biac has over 300 years of rich history, producing outstanding wines. The vineyard and winery have been owned by the Asseily family for the last 20 of those years and in that time they have produced wines known for precision and attention to detail.
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes were only introduced to Château Biac in 2008; one of the newest additions to the vineyard. Originally intended to be a part of one of their sweet wine blends, the Sauvignon grapes were such a success that they warranted their own dedicated wine! Much like Secret de Château Biac, this wine is from a very limited batch.
Tasting Notes
- Colour: Crystal clear yellow, pale and shiny
- Nose: Aromas of green apple, lime, subtle spices.
- Palate: Fruity and dynamic, this wine has subtle minty notes, and a pleasant long finish.
Pairings
This is a fantastic wine to go alongside delicate canapés. Dynamic and fruity without being overpowering, we would always recommend pairing this with a light salads and pasta dishes. An indulgent Coq Au Vin would shine with this wine.
For cheeses, a fresh cut of Golden Cross goats cheese would add just the right contrast with the wine’s acidity cutting through the smooth cheese.
