We love Spanish wines and are so delighted to welcome 2021 Erial Tinto to our range. The nose reveals rich scents of black cherry and liquorice, accompanied by fine and well rounded tannins. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied experience with layers of complex flavours and a smooth finish. Aged for 10 months in predominantly new French oak barrels, this wine exemplifies the elegance and complexity of Tempranillo.

History and Winemaking

Established by Epifanio Rivera-Aparicio in 2004, the bodega is run with the help of his three sons. It owns 20 hectares of superb vineyards in scattered plots around Pesquera de Duero. The vines are truly ancient, with many over 80 years old, providing low yields of fabulously concentrated Tempranillo fruit.

The wines have quickly gained international recognition, receiving fine press reviews in America. The 2021 Erial Tinto is aged for 10 months in new French oak barrels, enhancing its rich flavour profile. Additionally, the ‘Tradicion Familia’ sees 16 months in the barrel, resulting in fuller-bodied wine with substantial tannins and richer notes of eucalyptus and spice.
