History and Winemaking
Dancing Duchess is the passion project of co-founders Allie Cope and Archie Patel, whose shared love of English wine led them to create a modern, expressive sparkling rosé. Drawing on years of experience across the English wine industry, they set out to craft something distinctive—combining elegance, creativity, and a playful spirit.
Sourced from exceptional vineyards in Kent, a region renowned for its chalk-rich soils and cool climate, this 2022 vintage showcases the very best of English terroir. Made using the traditional method, the wine is aged on its lees for nearly two years, developing depth, texture, and a fine mousse. Produced in collaboration with the expert team at Defined Wines, every element—from grape selection to final blend—has been carefully considered to create a wine that is both refined and full of character.
