Location

Produced in Switzerland, Chilli La Bouse is a creamy and soft cows milk cheese and infused with red chilli peppers. It offers a balance of creamy richness and gentle heat, making it a popular choice for those who enjoy flavoured cheeses.

Tasting

Chilli La Bouse has a smooth, creamy texture punctuated by red chilli throughout. The flavour begins with sweet, buttery notes before developing a warming chilli heat that lingers pleasantly on the palate. The spice enhances rather than overwhelms the cheese, allowing its rich dairy character and subtle nuttiness to remain at the forefront. The texture is firm yet supple, becoming creamier and more aromatic as it reaches room temperature.

Pairing

Pair Chilli La Bouse with chilli jam or a drizzle of honey to create a delicious contrast to its gentle heat alternatively some artisan bread provide an excellent base. For wine, a garganaga, or fruity Rosé balances the spice beautifully.
